Francisco’s on the River

Martine’s Riverhouse Restaurant
Located in New Hope and operating for the past 40 years, Martine’s Riverhouse Restaurant serves American cuisine and award-winning cocktails. Len & Jo’s Bar & Restaurant
This local favorite is a top choice for many folks in the area. Riverside Creamery
We had to add this riverside destination to the list because although they only serve desserts, it’s the best dessert along the Delaware. Made from scratch, Riverside Creamery sweets are ever-changing so there is always something new to try. Offering ice cream and shakes, cakes and more, if you have a sweet tooth, this restaurant on the Delaware River is for you!
Wineries
The vast mountainous areas along the Delaware River make for the most unique wineries and vineyards. These local, family-owned wineries are established and run by those who have found love creating fine wine for guests to enjoy. When visiting the Delaware River area, be sure to check out these wineries.
Brotherhood
Featuring wines made with 100% New York grapes and aged in 19th century underground cellars, Brotherwood Winery is a must-stop while exploring the Delaware River region. Established in 1839, Brotherhood is America’s Oldest Winery and located about an hour from New York City. Their Washingtonville location houses a tasting room, outdoor wine garden, event venue and shop. They offer live music on the weekends and tours daily, on a first come, first serve basis.
Callicoon Wine Merchant
Located in Callicoon, NY on the upper reaches of the Delaware River, Callicoon Wine Merchant is a wine, beer, and tapas bar. Enjoy organic wines and craft beers, and sample local tapas and small plates while you’re there. The sitting area is located within a beautiful garden, making it the perfect backdrop for a nice evening out. You can also stop into the wine shop to peruse their organic selection of wines.
Eminence Road Farm Winery
Located in Long Eddy, NY along the western edge of the Catskills, family-owned Eminence Road Farm Winery uses grapes from sustainably managed Finger Lakes vineyards. The family began making their first batches of wine in 1996, and have since relocated to where they are to this day. Wine at this Winery is bottled by hand, unfined and unfiltered. Their wines can be found at local farmers’ markets and fine restaurants in the area.
Three Hammers Winery
The owners of Three Hammers Winery, Rob & Christine, use their diverse backgrounds and skills to create a memorable experience for wine lovers. Creating wines with both French and West coast styles, this husband and wife duo and their dedicated staff pour their heart and soul into each bottle. Their Hawley, PA location is housed within an 1820’s farmhouse and offers a wine tasting counter where each guest has their choice of dry or sweet wine tasting.
Bashakill Vineyards & Winery
An organic vineyard and winery located in the Catskills and nestled in the Bashakill Wetlands, Bashakill Vineyards & Winery is a unique destination near the Delaware River in Wurstboro, NY. Established in 2005, this boutique winery now has 12 acres and more than 800 grape vines. Visit their winery and enjoy live music, food, indoor & outdoor games, wine tasting, and nature.
Breweries
Pennsylvania and New York offers plenty of breweries but finding the best ones along and the Delaware River can be tricky. Fortunately, if you’re looking for a cold one or trying to sample some craft brews, these five breweries we’ve compiled below should have you covered.
Catskill Distillery
Located in Bethel, NY, the Catskill Distillery is a unique distillery and restaurant along the Delaware River. Established in 2008, the Catskill Distillery creates craft spirits and beers using water from the Catskill Mountains and New York-grown grains. The grains are then mashed and returned to farms to feed local farm animals. This distillery prides itself on its commitment to community support.
Second District Brew Farm
Featuring farm-fresh beer and wood-fired fare, Second District Brew Farm in Pennsylvania creates a brewery vibe that is unlike any other. Their location offers sitting areas to relax and lounge while enjoying your beer and food in nature. They have a rotating menu that is sure to feature an item that appeals to you. Open weekends, Friday-Sunday, from noon ‘til dark.
Here & Now Brewing Company
Eat, drink, and be merry at this Honesdale, PA brewery. Here & Now Brewing Company offers beer and food inspired by the owners’ surroundings and “whatever ideas float through their heads.” Most of the beers are brewed on a 7 barrel steam system, while others are experimented with and created on a 1 barrel system. Log Tavern Brewing
Log Tavern Brewing, located in Milford, PA, is dedicated to creating high quality beer brewed with local pride. When you walk into their Delaware River brewery, you’ll immediately see how the love for nature and the great outdoors has made Log Tavern what it is today. ShawneeCraft Brewery
Located in the Poconos Mountains and along the Delaware River, ShawneeCraft Brewery serves up to 16 handmade beers and hard seltzers at any given time. Open seven days a week, stop by and enjoy their indoor taproom and wood-fired oven serving farm-to-table pizzas from scratch. Check out the outdoor beer garden with fire pits, lawn games, axe-throwing and stages with live music.
