The Hawk’s Nest
This stretch of Route 97 is considered one of the most scenic drives in all of New York. If you can handle heights, find one of the pull offs and keep an eye out for bald eagles. Don’t forget the binoculars, you might see some of our rafters out on the river!
Hike the Kittatinny Ridge
Visit the summit of the Kittatinny Ridge and hike one of the many trails that cover the 16,000 acres High Point State Park. Take the Monument Trail (3.5 miles) and visit the High Point Monument, dedicated to New Jersey’s veterans. View all the available hikes here.
Looking for a memorable keepsake or unique treasure? Drive north from our campground along Route 97 into Narrowsburg, NY where you’ll find a window-shopper’s paradise.
Take a break from meal prepping and check out some local eateries. Grab a wood-fired pizza at The Laundrette and enjoy gorgeous views of the Delaware River and the Narrowsburg bridge. Or grab some freshly baked bread or pastry at Beach Lake Bakery, only open on Saturdays!
Narrowsburg is hosting a number of exciting events in October, including the Haunted Historic Lantern Tour and the third annual Logging Days. Check out the full list of events and more details here.
No trip to the Delaware River is complete without a journey by boat. Pack your layers and head out on a raft, canoe or kayak trip. We have multiple routes available, including trips that launch right on-site at our campgrounds!
