WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR MY ARRIVAL?
DOES MY CAMPING RESERVATION COME WITH A RIVER TRIP ADVENTURE?

CAN MY FRIENDS COME AND VISIT?
Absolutely! Guests must pay a guest fee and the number of people per site cannot exceed 8.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I MAKE MY RESERVATION?
We recommend booking at least 6 months in advance of the desired arrival date, as our Campground will fill up quickly! We book reservations up to 360 days in advance, so you can even re-book your stay for 2022 at checkout.
WILL MY RESERVATION GUARANTEE A SPECIFIC CAMPSITE OR CABIN ASSIGNMENT?
We do offer you the opportunity to guarantee your favorite campsite or cabin by paying our applicable locking fee. If you opt-out of the locking fee, you are guaranteed your selected site or cabin type, but NOT the specific unit number.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We do not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature. The fun continues rain or shine. Our refund policy varies, depending on the timing of your cancellation notice in advance of the reservation date:
- 3+ WEEKS: Refund minus $25 cancellation fee OR full refund issued in camp credit
- 2+ WEEKS: 50% of reservation issued in camp credit valid for one year from the issued date and 50% of reservation forfeited
- LESS THAN 2 WEEKS: Full reservation forfeited
- 2+ WEEKS: Refund minus $25 cancellation fee OR full refund issued in camp credit
- 1+ WEEKS: 50% of reservation issued in camp credit valid through the end of the camping season it is issued and 50% of reservation forfeited
- LESS THAN 1 WEEK: Full reservation forfeited
Cancellations: All river reservations may be canceled up to seven days prior to receive a refund of your deposit minus a $10.00 processing fee.
Rain checks: If it is raining at Kittatinny during your time of departure and forecasted to continue, a rain check can be issued for a later date during the same season. You must call up to 2 hours prior to your scheduled departure time to rain check your reservation. There are no rain checks vailable for camping. Rainchecks are valid for the season in which they are issued.
CAN I COME TOUR THE PARK BEFORE I BOOK?
Yes! We just ask that you call ahead of time and check-in at the Registration office before entering the park. Preferably no tours Friday – Sunday.
WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY?
RV and tent campers are welcome to bring their pets along for the fun! Pets are not allowed at our tent campsites, playgrounds, restrooms or other buildings.
We reserve the right to remove hostile and disruptive pets from the park. View our Pet Waiver here!
IS THERE GOOD FISHING?
We have great fishing available onsite at the river. A fishing license is required. Please note that we do not offer or issue fishing licenses at our location.

DO YOU HAVE QUIET HOURS?
We do! Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm – 8:00 am. Anyone under 18 years of age must be at their site or cabin during these hours unless accompanied by an adult.
WHERE DO I GET FIREWOOD?
We have firewood available for purchase at our Camp Store. Campers are no longer allowed to bring their own firewood due to state regulations to prevent the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer. To preserve the beauty of our wooded Campground, please do not cut down or damage trees in any way.
CAN I BRING MY OWN GOLF CART, MOTORIZED SCOOTER, HOVERBOARD, OR ATV TO THE CAMPGROUND?
For safety and liability reasons, guests are not permitted to bring any personal motorized vehicles into the Campground. Guests found in violation of this policy may be asked to leave without a refund.
ARE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED?
They are, but may not be glass and must be kept in a cup or koozie. This is a family-friendly Campground, so please be considerate of others and refrain from loud and unseemly language.
CAN I SMOKE AT THE PARK?
Since we are a family-friendly Campground, smoking, including vaping, of any kind is permitted in designated smoking areas only. Smoking of any substances besides tobacco and vaporizes will not be tolerated. Management reserves the right to fine violators of this policy.
ARE CAMPFIRES ALLOWED?
You bet, unless when we are under a Burn Ban, so be sure to ask the Welcome Center at check-in. We ask that campfires be confined to designated hours and are not left unattended. We do not permit outside firewood being brought into our park or the cutting of any of our trees or brush. Firewood is available for purchase at the Camp Store.
ARE FIREWORKS ALLOWED?
With the exception of sparklers, fireworks are not allowed.
WHEN IS THE CHEAPEST TIME TO STAY?
Our rates depend on when you’d like to stay. Non-Peak season is cheaper than Peak season, and weekdays are cheaper than weekends.
IS WIFI AVAILABLE?
Yes, WiFi is currently available at the front porch of the Camp Store only. Please note depending on the amount of guests using at the same time, speeds may vary and WiFi may not be accessible.

WHAT IS THE SPEED LIMIT?
Because the Campground is full of active families with children, the speed limit throughout the Campground is 5MPH and is strongly enforced for your safety. We realize that this is ridiculous. If you do not feel that you are driving ridiculously slow, then you are driving too fast.
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME VISITING KITTATINNY CAMPGROUNDS. IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD KNOW?
We are so excited to have you stay with us! There are a few optional items you can bring along to maximize the fun during your trip. You are welcome to bring bicycles to help you get around the park. We also suggest bringing fishing poles and a fishing license for some quality family fishing. Please note that we do not offer or issue fishing licenses at our location. And keep in mind that while we do offer plenty of activities here at the park, including river adventures, zipline, and paintball, as well as many local attractions that your family may enjoy as well!
