GAMES
Road trip games like i-spy, 20 questions, and the license plate game are great ways to pass the time. Print out road trip bingo cards ahead of time and see who can spot the most objects. Are card games more your speed? Uno and Go Fish are two easy ones to keep the kiddos entertained in the car!
WATER BOTTLES
It’s always a good idea to keep full water bottles handy when on a road trip. You never know how far away the next gas station or convenience store will be, so make sure you stay hydrated by packing a few bottles before you leave. We recommend reusable water bottles that are better for the environment and can keep your drinks cold all day long – especially the insulated ones!
BOOKS & MOVIES
What would a road trip be without a few good books and movies to pass the time? Stop by the library on your way out of town to pick up your favorite books and movies. Short on space? You can even download books on your iPad, smart phone, Kindle, and more!
BLANKETS & PILLOWS
Sometimes road trips require driving early in the morning or late at night – blankets & pillows will help your kids snuggle up on the long drive.
Bonus! The blankets will come in handy for road-side picnics.
CAMERA
A camera will help you capture the world going by as you make memories that will last a lifetime. These memories will be great to make a photo album with at the end of your vacation! Don’t forget to tag us in all your photos so we can share them!
FIRST AID KIT
We recommend packing first aid essentials like Band-Aids, Aspirin, allergy medicine, bug spray, and sunscreen for your trip. It’s always better to be over-prepared!
KITTATINNY ESSENTIALS
Make sure to pack what you’ll need for when you arrive at camp! A bathing suit, s’more supplies, water shoes and toiletries are a few of our recommendations. If you own a life jacket, bring it along. Otherwise, we will provide one for all of our guests taking a river trip. Remember to bring some extra cash to buy a souvenir at the store!
SNACKS
We can’t forget the most important road trip essential – the snacks! We like to keep a few granola bars, fruit, pretzels, and nuts on hand. Once you have all of your snacks prepared, throw them in a cooler to keep them out of the heat of the day.
Whether you’re traveling from near or far, you are now prepared to hit the road! Family road trips create amazing family memories, and we can’t wait to hear all about your trip when you arrive at Kittatinny
