Zane Grey Museum
The Zane Grey Museum in Lackawaxen Township, PA, United States, is a former residence of the prolific author Zane Grey and is now maintained as a museum and operated by the National Park Service. 20 minute guided tours through the museum are offered, allowing you to see exhibits including photographs, memorabilia, personal items, manuscripts, and first editions of the writers’ books. Roebling’s Delaware Aqueduct, better known today as the Roebling Bridge, is the oldest existing wire suspension bridge in the United States. Dating back to 1847, the bridge runs 535 feet over the Delaware River, from Minisink Ford, New York, to Lackawaxen, PA. Restored and reconstructed to maintain its use, the bridge structure is a reminder of what used to be. Today, you may walk across the former aqueduct, following the path taken by canalers and their mules over a century ago. Where canal boats once slowly floated, vehicles now cross the Delaware River effortlessly.
