Why Choose the Delaware River for Canoeing?
The canoe and the Delaware were made for each other. Experience the Delaware River through the river activity that started it all at Kittatinny over 80 years ago — canoeing. The Delaware River is renowned for its stunning scenery, pristine waters, and abundant wildlife, making it an ideal destination for canoeing enthusiasts. Flowing through lush forests, rolling hills, and charming small towns, this iconic river offers a diverse and captivating landscape to explore from the comfort of your canoe.

What to Pack for Your Canoeing Trip
Before setting out on your canoeing adventure, it’s essential to pack the right gear and essentials to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Be sure to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated, as well as sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun’s rays.
A waterproof bag or container is essential for keeping valuables and supplies dry, while sturdy footwear with good grip will provide stability when navigating rocky terrain. Don’t forget to pack snacks and a picnic lunch to enjoy on the riverbank during your journey.
Rules for Canoeing on the Delaware River
While canoeing on the Delaware River offers endless opportunities for fun and exploration, it’s essential to respect the rules and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
