Pennsylvania Fall Foliage Prediction Map
While predicting the exact dates of peak fall foliage is always a bit of a guessing game, we can confidently anticipate that the colors will reach their peak in Milford, PA, during the week of October 21-28, 2024. This timing is perfect for one last camping getaway before our campgrounds close for the season on October 26.
Mid-October is an ideal time to soak in the crisp autumn air and the vibrant hues of fall. For a more detailed view of the Pennsylvania fall foliage map, check out the predictions on the Almanac or American Forests websites.
We still have a variety of luxury cabin rentals and campsites available! If you're a glamper at heart, our best value cabin option is the Kittatinny Cabin. Nearby Areas for the Best Fall Foliage
As many of our campers know, both our New York and Pennsylvania campgrounds offer stunning views of fall foliage, but the surrounding areas are also worth exploring for even more photo opportunities. Here are a few places we recommend for scenic views of the fall colors:
Hawk's Nest, NY
Just a short drive from our Barryville campground, Hawk's Nest offers one of the most scenic drives in New York. The winding road, perched high above the Delaware River, provides breathtaking views of the Catskills, especially as the leaves change. It's a must-visit spot for any fall foliage enthusiast.
Bushkill Falls, PA
Known as the "Niagara of Pennsylvania," Bushkill Falls is a series of eight waterfalls nestled deep in the Pocono Mountains. The surrounding forest explodes with color in the fall, making it a perfect day trip from our Milford campground. The trails range from easy to moderate, so it's suitable for all ages.
Minnewaska State Park Preserve, NY
Located a bit further from Barryville, but worth the drive, Minnewaska State Park Preserve offers stunning vistas of the Shawangunk Ridge. The park's diverse landscape of cliffs, waterfalls, and dense forests turns into a vibrant palette of reds, oranges, and yellows during peak foliage.
There’s a lot to look forward to this fall camping season, and we hope we've supplied everything you need to know about the Catskill and Pocono fall foliage timeline so you can better prepare for this autumn.
