Volunteer
This volunteer clean-up event routinely brings together more than 100 dedicated volunteers over the course of two days to help keep the Delaware River clean. Volunteers can choose to join the clean-up for one or both days.
Monday, July 17 – Barryville, NY
Tuesday, July 18 – Matamoras, PA
Clean-up volunteers will paddle 8- to 10- mile sections of the river, picking up trash from the shorelines, islands, and the river bottom along the way. The Delaware River has given us all so many unforgettable memories — let’s come together and help maintain the natural beauty of it. If you’re interested in volunteering, please fill out this form.

Free Camping
Volunteers can enjoy FREE camping at K-Camp or River Beach for participating in our river clean-up. Volunteer one day for up to two nights, or volunteer both days to get up to three free nights of camping along the Delaware River! Kittatinny Canoes will also provide breakfast and dinner to all volunteers, as well as canoes, life jackets, and trash bags for clean-up and transportation to and from clean-up sites. Volunteers should plan to bring a lunch and snacks, plenty of drinking water, sunscreen, work gloves, a hat, and sturdy shoes that can get wet.

Be Part of Something Big
For the past 32 years Kittatinny has sponsored this 70-mile river clean-up effort, the only one of its kind, to demonstrate our commitment to preserving the beauty of the free flowing Delaware River. We keep the river clean and the banks green throughout the year, but we like to dedicate time to doing a major spring clean-up, it’s our way of giving back to this wonderful resource.
This clean-up has been awarded two first-place awards from “Take Pride in America,” a national recognition program that recognizes and encourages volunteering to care for the country’s public lands.
